College Awareness
AACE Upward Bound Students are provided with college campus tours in Norther California, where they are engaged in pre-college workshops and activities including student panels.
Cutural & Social Field Trips
Every year, AACE Upward Bound staff is made aware of local, regional and national youth and student conferences, which focus on leadership development and empowerment. These opportunities are made available to eligible AACE Upward Bound students.
Students will engage in social and cultural activites that will raise their awareness, and broaden their level of self-consciousness at the post-secondary level. Cultural and social topics include diversity in education and the importance of understanding culture, race, ethnic pride, values and traditions. Activities include trips, guest speakers, and many more.
Summer Program
AACE Upward Bound offers an annual five-week instructional program at San Francisco State University. Students will have the opportunity to experience colelge life and take courses in the following areas:
